ST. AUGUSTINE LIGHTHOUSE

ST. Augustine is an amazingly beautiful place. It has so much to do, whether you are there for a weekend getaway, romantic getaway, a wedding, family fun, and even business. There are beaches galore with dazzling white sand, sightseeing, downtown amenities, and too much to list. We were married on the beach at Anastasia Island State Park. The camping, beach, and proximity to everything is absolutely perfect. The view of the lighthouse, day and night, is superb. The SleepInn right by it is excellent with a staff that is super! We stayed there pre-wedding. The Travelodge In Old Town is amazing for family or romantic stays. The price is great, with a wide range of room sizes. The lady who owned it at the time, spent so much time with us, even giving me a precious gift of a very old mortar and pestle bowl when I told her I was there to find one. She was amazing. I have not been there since Wyndham took over, but I sure hope she is still there. Just two places I recommend. Visit the old town in the day for the fort, Ripley's Museum, shops, churches, the areas first distillery, historical places galore, and more. Ripley's has a package that includes all day train rides, def worth it! At night there is plenty of fun like Ripley's, ghost tours, restaurants, downtown, and bar scenes for all types. Let's not forget the beaches! They are right there, but Anastasia is by far my favorite spot. They also offer Military and Disabled pricing, as well as the fort does too! Make sure to have dinner at Harry's, you will remember your meal here! St. Augustine is a MUST  for  destination lists!
