If you follow my blog, or know me, then you know I collect survival items. You can never have a complete bug out kit. I have been wanting a survival blanket. I found one by Winis. It is a sleeping bag/blanket.

 It can be a poncho, a tarp, a mat, a shelter,  or even a picnic blanket. You can get creative too. It can be used for protective wrapping of items. You can reflect light off of it as a signal on the silver side.This one holds in ninety percent of your body heat. Outstanding. It comes in reflective , easy to see, hunter orange. That makes it visible to search parties. It also makes it a great signal for emergencies. It unfolds to about 84 by 36 inches. I keep mine in my bag. If I travel, the bag goes with. If I go out in nature, the bag goes. It only weighs .26 lbs in it's pouch. You need that in all of your items. No sense in added weight and fatigue. It's Christmas time! I wanted a rug kit I could make my own way. What I found is something that is great for so much more! I have a special young lady getting one of these for Christmas. This kit by Make It Real has the fashionable colors, and trimmings, with all you need to make your rug. She has Autism and ADHD, so I like that it is sensory and cognitive building. She is at an age where she is getting into what she wants for decor. They are the same colors for my home too. Win, win. The kit has very easy instructions. It also has the looming board to craft on, that is reusable.

Doing pictures of large items, or that need a shot of my full body just doesn't work well with my phone stand. I hate to admit, but I need a selfie stick! I ordered one from Fugetek. It looks well made and professional. It is all aluminum and strong. I love that it has a detachable remote! It starts at seven and a half inches, and telescopes out to thirty two inches. You can lock the wand and unlock it. The phone holder rotates all the way, front to back, side to side for any angle shot. The stick works on Ios and Android. It does not work on GoPro though. You can, however, obtain a GoPro adapter. The remote is bluetooth compatible with each type of phone too. It does last up to an hour of constant use, with 300 hours of charge when idle. It is light and pocket size, so easy to take with you anywhere you need to. It is also mountable to tripods. If you hold the camera button on the remote, it causes rapid takes. This feature only works for Android though. That also makes it a great purchase for budding professionals.

Retractable Cat Teaser Wand

I am fostering two cats aside from my own. I needed more fun stuff for them. They are young and need attention. I looked and found a fun set from Goldween. It came with a retractable wand. That's good for one on one play and for mutiple cats. It has ten pieces of fun. There are six crinkle balls and four different feather sets. I gave them the crinkle balls while I set up the feathers I wanted on the wand. They had a blast! The cats usually do not play together in front of me since they are getting acquainted. I hear them at night playing though. This was an amazing ice breaker. They played right together with the wand. The crinkle balls are made of a pet friendly material that seems to be holding up well between three cats. The feathers make them so happy because they think they have caught their bird. The wand has nylon that is strong for the dangle. It has an easy clasp for hooking and unhooking the toys. The best feature is the foam padded wand. That is very comfy to the hands with arthritis. The set is $9.75 on Amazon. It is good quality and is holding up better than the ones I have bought cheap in stores.

I am always adding to my bug out kit. I want to have enough for all of us if needed. Recent hurricane events really put an emphasis on that need. You need to be prepared for emergencies and disasters.

I happened on this survival kit from Reserwa. It is a 13 in 1 kit including Tactical Pen,Flashlight,Survival Knife,Stainless Steel Versatile Tool Card,Compass,Whistle,Fire Starter and Fire Scraper,Whistle,Paracord Bracelets,Carabiner,Ear Plug etc. The pen has a window breaker built in. The knife is easy open, a great feature for my arthritc hands. The universal tool has things such as a ruler, opener, and much more. A fire starter is invaluable. Need I say more? Paracord bracelets are great for hanging tarps and such. Carabiner clips are needed for clipping, hoisting, etc. The case is very nice and cushioned inside. It clasps on four areas. It stays shut and is drop proof and waterproof. A lot of thought went into this kit. The only drawback I found is on my part. I am not masterminded enough to get everything packed back in easily...lol. I was surprised at the quality too. Especially the compass. This one is on Amazon for $16.99. It is guaranteed and you just can't get these individual items for under that price.

With my health, my feet swell and ankles hurt when I do too much or drive a lot.With hardwood floors, a full sock isn't the best option. Up higher on the leg isn't so great in the summer either.

Ueither makes a pair that are unisex and come in different sizes. They also work for plantar fascitis, gout, healing an injury, and circulation. They fit average size feet for men and women. They did not cut into my skin. That's important with fibromyalgia. They breathe well. I can still grip the floor. The compression on my arches after I sleep with them on is most beneficial. I normally wake up to sore feet that crunch when I first stand up! Ouch. They are a 70/40 blend of nylon and polyester. That allows them to hold shape and compression while being lightweight. At first, I worried I ordered them too small. They fit as expected though. They really are functional. I wear them at all different hours. Day and overnight. With or without shoes. They are great for yoga too. They would make a great gift for someone who stays on their feet, or like me, is disabled. Since just got new boots, I figured that I should get some socks...lol. Something good for padding and warmth was needed. I found a set of five pair on Amazon for under fifteen bucks.

 When they arrived, I wondered how they were able to put five pairs of thick socks in this small package. Well, they did...lol. They are also as thick as I wanted. Having fibromyalgia, my ankles and feet can be tender. Then I noticed the colors. The socks truly are unisex in colors and design. The colors are brown, burgundy,fall green, navy blue, and medium blue. The pattern is great because it matches not just cold weather design. It is a vintage, yet fun pattern. The tops did not cut unto my legs since they are crew length. There is firmer support at heel and toes. They are nice and soft to the touch! They fit men's and women's average size feet perfectly. They are effective at moisture wicking. While providing warmth, they are breathable.  They are made of a 60/40 wool/polyester blend. They did not shrink easily in my regular wash either.

These boots are amazing by J Adams! I am not a boot person,nor am I a heel person.Yet,when I saw these, it was a must have. They have the sleek, up to date look. Most importantly, they looked comfortable! 

I ordered mine from Amazon in black. They also come in Taupe and Hazel. The heels are high stacked. They are padded for comfort. The heels are about 3 inches and chunky. That makes them comfy for long wear or dancing. The bottoms are non skid. Perfect to walk on any surface. For those of you who are awkward in heels and would fall on your face, this is perfect! They are over the knee. There is a slit in the back of the knee area for comfort and flexibility. You can wear them pulled up or slouched slightly.  It also adds some sexiness. The inside of the top is lined to be able to cuff if wanted. That makes them below the knee. I wear mine over leggings and they match my peacoat. You can also wear them with skinny jeans, dresses, or skirts. The boots fit me perfectly to the size I normally wear. I was worried, not being able to try them on. I cannot stress the comfort of the wear. They did not hurt my back or hips where I have arthritis. That is a must have feature!

I was especially happy to find, it's vegan material! That is important to this animal and resource lover! Then boots are high quality and made well!

I have some arthritis and other problems. My fingers can get stiff and hurt when I move them. I look for something to use to keep my fingers still and protected when they hurt. Any soreness or injury heals better when made immobile and rested. It is usually only a specific finger here and there. 

 I chose this one because it is moldable and padded. With Fibromyalgia, I need the padding. This one is for your trigger finger. However, you can use it on your other fingers.  It came with instructions, but is beyond easy to put on. It is very comfy and molds well. It is adjusted easily for your comfort. Inside has metal plating that's bendable covered in padding. I wore it at night, when I can't pay attention to re-injuring the finger. I did not notice it at all. I ordered the black one, but they also offer white. It was on Amazon for around seventeen bucks. It came within a couple days. It is working great and is better than expected in pain relief.

I saw this teddy bear and instantly thought of the little girl next door. She always carries her dollies around. So I ordered this one for her. The bear has a pretty pink heart and a little flower hat. It lights up in LED changing colors. It glows a soft white in the background. It is absolutely adorable! The bear is about 15 inches and lightweight. That makes it easy for her little toddler self to carry around! My bear is white , but you can get them in other colors too. The fur is very soft and huggable. It is fluffy , but short. No stray fur in your child's mouth or all over. This is a great nightlight for the littles too. It runs on three AA batteries and they last. Trust me, she hasn't let go of it.  They are on Amazon and get to you pretty quickly. I am going to order a few more for Christmas and Valentine's gifts. It would be great for long trips and more. She loves it!
