This gun magnet is perfect for me. I like to keep my gun handy, but safe from children. This allows me to hide it near my bed, but safely hidden. It holds well up to 25 lbs. It quickly accepts the gun, and smoothly releases it. I have the option of mounting it with screws or 3M. I can move it to my vehicle for trips, or just in a different spot in the house.
