Our six year old enjoyed this. It is great to see a child learn about spring and what it involves in the animal world and nature. This is the first book from this series we have tried, and I will be getting more for him. I have found that children pay more attention and retain more if it is interesting to them. The book takes a little boy into understanding the change of season by certain occurences. It also helped him understand about helping others. The best thing is it reminds children that animals may be trusting of them, yet sometimes they do not know we are helping.
