Opening cans has become a breeze with this. I have achy hands and am clumsy. This can opener does it's job from the top. It cuts off the lid smoothly and in a manner that you can put the lid back on if you do not finish everything from the can. It is nice and solid. I like the material it is made of because it is easier on my hands. It does not touch you food like contemporary openers , so no contamination.
